詳細情報/Detailed Information

授業の概要 This course has a small number of students and is taught entirely in English. Selection of students is based on an interview at the beginning of your first semester at this university. The aim of this course is to improve English skills to a level that supports working or studying in English-speaking countries. Key to success in this course is a strong、 consistent motivation to apply English in various professional or educational environments. The course content generally aligns to  the CEFR B2/C1 level.
授業のキーワード English for Academic/Professional Purposes
授業の目的 Attain an English skill level that supports working or studying in English speaking countries.
授業の到達目標 1. Listening
   - Improve comprehension of spoken English in various accents and speeds.
   - Learn colloquial English such as idioms.

2. Speaking
   - Enhance your ability to communicate in English in both formal and informal settings.
   - Speak in monologic (presentations and explanations) and dialogic (discussions and debates).

3. Reading
   - Strengthen skills to understand and analyze written English in articles and essays.
   - Build vocabulary for reading professional and academic materials.

4. Writing
   - Develop the ability to write coherent English texts、 such as essays and reports.
   - Practice writing for different purposes、 including descriptive、 persuasive、 and narrative styles.
授業時間外の学習に関する事項 About 2 hours of homework per week is expected.
教科書 There is no set text for this class. Materials will be provided by the instructor as required.
参考文献・その他資料 Japanese/English-English/Japanese dictionary (paper or electronic)
成績評価方法 Assessment will be made through written work、 presentations and viva voce (spoken interview).
