Center for Humanities and Sciences
The Center for Humanities and Sciences is responsible for the basic courses that will provide a solid foundation on which students can build as they go on to study in their specialist disciplines.
Courses taught by the Center cover a wide variety of disciplines including humanities, philosophy and reason, social studies, foreign languages, natural sciences, information science and physical education, and are mainly taken in the first and second years of study.
In addition to these basic courses, the Center also supports the four departments in providing guidance and instruction for students’ graduation theses in their third and fourth years, and many of the Center’s instructors also give courses in the Graduate School.
The Center is also active in the day-to-day running of the university through various committees, and provides extensive support for students in clubs and various other extra-curricular activities.
