Currently Ibaraki Prefectural University of Health Sciences (IPU) does not accept overseas students directly into the University.

International students wishing to study at the university must therefore undergo the same entrance procedure as Japanese students.

 

Notes on admission for undergraduate students

 

Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

Completion of 12 years of regular school education (as of March 31st of the proposed year of entry)

Achieve passes in the Japanese National Center Test in the following five subjects: Japanese, mathematics, science, social studies (geography, history and social studies), and English. 

Pass the certificate examination of admission to the university (essay in Japanese and interview).

 

Please note that the Japanese National Center Test and IPU certificate examination of admission are held only in Japanese.

 

Application forms are available from the Academic Affairs Department at the University. The academic year runs April – May, and application forms for April entry are available from the previous September.

Please note that postage costs for application forms must be borne by the applicant.
